Project selected for a dedicated pitch session at “5 Years EU Cancer Mission: Stronger Through Connection” in Brussels
Brussels, 1st October SAGITTARIUS was selected to present its work at “5 Years EU Cancer Mission: Stronger Through Connection”, the event celebrating the fifth anniversary of the EU Cancer Mission. Held from 29 September to 1 October in Brussels, at the congress centre The Egg, the meeting brought together researchers, healthcare professionals, patient representatives and EU-funded projects to reflect on the progress achieved so far and discuss future priorities for cancer research and care in Europe. As part of the programme, SAGITTARIUS delivered a 10-minute pitch presentation on 1 October.
The presentation provided participants with an overview of the project and its ambition to improve the post-surgery management of advanced colon cancer through a precision medicine approach based on circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA), liquid biopsy and molecular profiling. The pitch also highlighted the importance of international collaboration to make the difference in cancer care.
The invitation to present at this milestone event reflected the relevance of SAGITTARIUS within the broader EU Cancer Mission community and offered an opportunity to share the project's goals and ongoing activities with a diverse European audience.
By fostering connections among Mission-funded initiatives and stakeholders, the event reinforced the importance of collaboration in accelerating innovation and improving cancer care for patients across Europe.
